Château BHAKTA, Gascony
The Estate
A cellar in Gascony. A barn in Vermont.
Raj Peter Bhakta acquired the oldest known reserves of Armagnac — casks laid down as far back as 1868 — and brought them to rest above the Battenkill River. Every bottle carries a year you can hold.
Our Story
Raj Peter Bhakta — Drink from a guy who's alive
A Word from the Founder
“Drink from a guy who’s alive.”
Raj Peter Bhakta on dead founders, living spirits, and why the year on the bottle matters. Two minutes, well spent.
The BHAKTA Method
Nothing here can be repeated.
01
Unearth
Forgotten cellars, acquired whole — casks laid down as far back as 1868, tended by the same hands for fifty years.
02
Marry
New World spirits finished in ancient Armagnac casks — a signature no other house can borrow.
03
Number
Bottled by hand in Vermont, numbered and certified. When a vintage is gone, it is gone forever.
